Gemma Sommers

Gemma launched Children’s Path LLC in 2019 after nearly 15 years of supporting children and families from infancy through middle school. She later took over an event childcare company known as Playtime Pros and expanded it into the full-service enrichment brand it is today. Gemma now oversees operations, quality, and partnerships across all programs.

She’s married to her high school sweetheart, who you might occasionally spot helping behind the scenes. In her downtime, you’ll find Gemma in the garden, on the trail, or planning her next family adventure.

Director of Operations

Vilma Betancourt

With over 14 years of experience in childcare and enrichment, Vilma Betancourt plays a key leadership role in guiding the day-to-day operations of Playtime Pros. As Program Director, she supports staff, ensures program quality, and helps oversee logistics across all service areas—from extended day enrichment to event child care.

A proud mother and the oldest of three siblings, Vilma has always had a heart for supporting children and families. Her ability to lead with both structure and empathy makes her a steady presence within the organization.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Vilma is passionate about creating inclusive, welcoming environments where children of all backgrounds can feel safe, supported, and ready to grow.
